Duties: The successful candidates will teach undergraduates and graduate students, contribute to the development of the undergraduate and postgraduate medical curricula, conduct research and support the research projects of other faculty and MMed trainees, plus any other substantive areas as determined by the School of Medicine.
Requirements: For the above three areas the requirements for each rank are as follows; Professor must; i) have at least relevant masters degree, ii) relevant Bachelor’s degree, ii) have at least 24 publications, 12 of which must be peer reviewed journals, iii) lead and or single author in at least 10 journal articles or book chapters, 8 years of University teaching experience or equivalent, demonstrate effective leadership, demonstrate evidence of service to the University, the profession and the community, expertise in another public field such as health economics or health policy would be an added advantage Associate Professor must; i) have at least relevant masters degree, ii) relevant Bachelor’s degree, have at least 12 publications, 8 of which must be peer reviewed journals, iii) be a lead and or single author in at least 6 journal articles or book chapters, iv) 5 years of university teaching experience or equivalent v) demonstrate effective leadership, vi) demonstrate evidence of service to the university, profession and community Senior Lecturer must; i) have at least relevant masters degree, ii) relevant bachelor’s degree, iii) have at least 6 published publications, 4 of which must be peer reviewed journals, iv) be a lead and or single author in at least 2 journal articles or book chapters, v) 3 years of university teaching experience or equivalent Lecturer must; i) have at least relevant masters degree, ii) relevant bachelor’s degree, iii) show evidence of engagement in research,
Remuneration: The University offers a competitive salary and benefits commensurate with experience and qualifications
